Real estate contracts in Korea often include a brokerage fee, deposit, monthly rent, maintenance fee, contract period, special terms, registry copy, landlord, tenant, and move-in responsibility. These words matter when you are close to signing, because small contract words can affect money and responsibility. This lesson teaches practical Korean vocabulary for brokerage fees and housing contracts.
Check the Brokerage Fee Before Signing
The key word is 중개수수료, meaning brokerage fee or real estate agent fee. Ask the amount, when it is paid, and whether the amount is written clearly before signing the 계약서. If an office uses the word 공인중개사, it means a licensed real estate agent. 중개업소 means the real estate agency office.
This lesson is for language learning only. It does not replace legal advice or a contract review. If a housing contract affects deposit, rent, repairs, cancellation, registry information, or responsibility for defects, ask the agent to write the terms clearly and get professional help when needed.
