입금 and 출금 describe money movement. 입금 means money enters an account. 출금 means money leaves an account or is withdrawn. A beginner may think 입금 always means putting cash into a machine, but in many daily situations it also means “the money has arrived.” For example, 입금 확인 means checking whether the payment arrived.

계좌번호 is the account number. Before sending money, always check the account number and the 수취인, the recipient. Korean banking screens often show the recipient name before the final confirmation. This step matters because a wrong transfer can be difficult and stressful to fix.

Mistake 1: Thinking 입금 only means cash deposit.
In daily Korean, 입금 can also mean that money was sent or received. If a seller says 입금 확인 후 보내드릴게요, it means they will send the item after confirming your payment.

Mistake 2: Confusing 이체 and 결제.
이체 means transfer between accounts. 결제 means payment or checkout. A card payment at a store is usually 결제, but sending money from your account is 이체.
