Korean for Shopping Sizes, Refunds, and Tax-Free Purchases
Shopping in Korea can feel simple until one detail goes wrong: the size is different from your country, the color is out of stock, the fitting room has a rule, the receipt is needed for exchange, or the tax-free counter asks for a passport. A good shopping conversation is not a general word list. It is a short sequence of checks that protects your money and your time.
This lesson uses twenty-four core words and builds them into counter phrases, phone-show messages, and real problem drills. You will learn how to ask whether an item fits, whether another size is available, whether a product can be exchanged or refunded, and whether tax-free processing is possible before you pay.
The safest habit is to confirm three things before leaving the counter: size or option, receipt and payment record, and exchange/refund condition. If you are buying gifts, also confirm packaging and whether the recipient can exchange the item later.

Ten-minute rehearsal
Say the size request first, then point to the item. Do not begin with a long explanation.
When trying on, ask the fitting room rule before carrying many items.
If a color is missing, ask about stock and another branch in one short sequence.
At payment, ask for a paper receipt if exchange is possible or likely.
Before removing tags, ask whether exchange and refund still work without the tag.
For gifts, ask packaging and whether the recipient can exchange later.
