Korean addresses usually move from large area to small detail. In speech, start with the city or district only when needed, then move to road name, building name, apartment building, floor, and unit. For delivery, the small details matter most because the driver is already nearby. If your Korean is still beginner level, it is fine to say the most important parts first: apartment name, building number, unit number, and phone number.

Phone numbers are easier when you group them. Korean speakers commonly pause between groups. Do not rush through every digit. Say a group, pause, listen, and then continue. If the other person repeats the number, answer with 네, 맞아요 if it is correct or 아니요, 다시 말씀드릴게요 if you need to correct it.

For privacy, do not practice with your real phone number or home address in a public class. Use a safe practice number and a sample address. The goal is not to memorize one address; the goal is to control the order and the polite confirmation phrases.

Useful Sentence Patterns

Use 제 번호는 …입니다 when you give your own number in a formal or service situation. In casual daily situations, 제 번호는 …이에요 is also natural. If you are not sure, the polite 입니다 form is safe.

Use 주소는 …입니다 to give an address, and add 확인해 주세요 when you want the listener to check it. For delivery, 문 앞에 놓아 주세요 and 경비실에 맡겨 주세요 are very useful because they tell the driver exactly what to do.

When you do not understand, avoid silence. Say 천천히 말해 주세요, 다시 한 번 말해 주세요, or 문자로 보내 주세요. These are not rude. They show that you are trying to confirm correctly.

Common Mistakes

A common mistake is saying the unit number without the building number. In many apartment complexes, the same unit number can exist in more than one building. Say the building number first, then the unit number.

Another mistake is reading every digit too quickly. If you rush, the other person may not know where one group ends. Practice with rhythm: three or four digits, pause, next group, pause, final group.

Do not give shared entrance passcodes loudly in a public place. If you must share it for delivery, use a private call or message, and follow your building rules. This lesson teaches language, not security policy.
