You are working in a Korean mart aisle. A manager points to a shelf and says, “이 상품 가격표 확인하고 진열대 보충해 주세요.”

This is not a long sentence, but it contains two tasks: check the price tag and restock the shelf. If you miss one part, the shelf may look ready but the price may be wrong.

This lesson teaches Korean retail stocking phrases for foreign workers who work in supermarkets, marts, convenience stores, and other service jobs in Korea.

The goal is to connect words to store actions. When you hear 재고, 가격표, 품절, 할인, 행사, or 유통기한, you should know what to check before a customer asks.

Common mistake

Thinking 재고 means the display shelf재고 means inventory or stock. It can be in the storage room, not only on the shelf. Restocking without checking the price tagAfter adding products, check 가격표. A shelf can look correct but still have the wrong price label. Confusing 할인 and 행사할인 means discount. 행사 often means a promotion or event sale. They can overlap, but they are not always the same. Saying 품절 too quicklyIf the item is not on the shelf, check 창고 or ask a manager before saying 품절입니다. The item may still be in storage.
